The Sandford House is a historic building located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, which is part of Heritage Square. Owned and maintained by The Womans Club of Fayetteville, the house was built in 1797. It exhibits classic Colonial (Georgian) architecture and its interior features eight spacious rooms divided by hallways. The house is named for John Sanford, a bank cashier who purchased the property as a residence for his family in 1832 after the bank closed. The Sandford House serves as the showcase home of Heritage Square. In addition to the main house, the Oval Ballroom and other historic buildings are also part of this location, which is available for event rentals such as weddings.
