The Perry/McGrath Historical Park is nestled on the edge of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and is home to one of the oldest buildings in Genesee County - the Perry-McGrath House. Built by Edmund and Simeon Perry in 1825, this historic house stands as a testament to the areas rich history and early settlers.
The park spans across 5078 Perry Road and is a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike. Apart from the iconic house, visitors can also explore a small cemetery on the property. In recent years, the park has undergone renovations that have added two picnic areas for guests to enjoy.
One of the parks unique events is the Perry Pioneer Day, which takes place annually between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Visitors can expect free attractions, refreshments, and a glimpse into life during the early days of Michigan settlements. The parks hours are from 8 AM to sunset, so there is ample time to immerse oneself in its historical beauty.
While facility rentals are not available at this time, the park remains an engaging and captivating destination for anyone interested in learning about the past or simply enjoying a scenic stroll through a piece of history.
