One Room Jail

The One Room Jail located in Texola is a historical landmark built at the end of the 1800s out of cinder blocks, serving as a jail until 1910. Now a quirky roadside attraction along Route 66, it stands alone in a nearly abandoned ghost town, attracting visitors with its chiseled rock sign featuring names from the Class of 39. Built in 1908 and open to the public for viewing, this one-room concrete and cinder block structure provides an engaging glimpse into Texolas history and the lives of those who once called it home.
