As you stand in front of the Moseley Homestead, located at 1820 West Brandon Boulevard, its impossible not to be captivated by its history. Built back in 1886, this homestead stands out as a historical landmark, and was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on January 31, 1985. Covering almost 15 acres of beautiful lakefront lands, its the last of its kind still standing in urbanized Brandon, Florida.

Originally a part of Limona, this homestead was more than just a home for the Moseley family. Before it was converted into their residence, it housed a Methodist church within a rustic log cabin. This religious foundation lends an air of sanctity to the Homestead, now commonly known as The Nest.

Julia Moseleys family once lived here, and today, their former home has been recognized for its historical significance and designated as a historic property. As you take in the sights and sounds around you, try to imagine what life must have been like over a century ago on this very land.
