Mabel Hartzell Historical Home

The Mabel Hartzell Historical Home, located at 840 N. Park Avenue in Alliance, Ohio, was built in 1867 for Matthew and Mary Edwards Earley. It was considered a showplace during the late 1800s with an original property that extended north to the Mahoning River. Today, a portion of the Earleys farm is now part of Earleys Hill Park within the Alliance City park system. The home, named after Mabel Hartzell who was an important figure in her time, serves as a window to the past, telling stories of people who lived there before us, their joys, sorrows, triumphs, and failures. It stands as a testament to a time when grandeur and elegance were not just concepts but a way of life.
