Heritage Trail

Located at 700 E Howard St, Live Oak, FL 32064, Heritage Trail is a scenic walk through the historic city of Live Oak, surrounded by the Suwannee River to the north, south, and west, with its showy springs and the Florida National Scenic Trail. The trail begins at Heritage Park and Gardens, a stunning estate offering a paved walking trail for community use, found at 550 Howard St E, Live Oak, FL 32064. Visitors can enjoy a disc golf course, beautifully landscaped gardens, and a childrens playground all with no admission fee.

The tour begins at the Suwannee County Museum, situated at 208 North Ohio Avenue in Heritage Square. From East Howard Street (US 90), hikers will journey along the two-thirds of a mile long trail until they reach Helvenston Street. Live Oak is part of the Florida National Scenic Trail, spanning over 1500 miles, and other local trails providing historic sights or nature areas for walking enthusiasts.

The park is maintained by the Suwannee River Water Management District and provides various amenities to visitors.
